Several sequels are in the pipeline for the year 2020. Being one of these, fans of the 2013 release Go Goa Gone are eagerly awaiting its second part. The makers cheered fans as soon as Go Goa Gone 2 was announced. The film is expected to be released in March 2021, but is not yet on the floor. As viewers and fans want to know the reason for the delay, actor Kunal Kemu recently cited the reason for postponing the film.

In a  conversation, Kunal Kemmu talked about the filming and release date of Go Goa Gone 2. A leading entertainment magazine quoted Kunal Kemmu in a report that the producers did not have the intellectual property rights of the film, which is very important for the filming of the sequel.
The Golmaal Again actor said that the producers and logistics involved in it are coming together and working on it, after which filming will be possible. Concluding the conversation, he said that this is the reason why the sequel to the film is taking a long time to kick.

Interestingly, the production banner, Eros International and Maddock Films, officially announced the film in January 2020. In a post sharing the news, the makers gave an insight into the film.
The caption of the announcement post read, 'One can try, but never really escape from this journey! Prepare yourself for the most spectacular sequel to the best "Zom-Com" as # GoGoaGone2 releases in March 2021! It will be exciting to see the main characters again in the sequel.

The first installment of Go Goa Gone also features Kunal Kemu along with Saif Ali Khan, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari. The official announcement about the cast details is yet to be unveiled. Whereas, producer Dinesh Vijani also talked about the sequel's plot. Reportedly, he said that the plot for Go Goa Gone 2 would center around aliens unlike his predecessor, which was a comedy film. The producers further stated that there wouldn't be a zombie element, and the team is doing it with aliens. The world will be similar to a stone comedy, but a new journey.
Kunal was talking to the media while promoting his upcoming film Malang in Mumbai.

Actor Kunal Kemmu says that the sequel to his 2013 comedy film "Go Goa Gone" is going through logistical issues and hence the project did not go through the last few years.

Asked when the film's shooting would begin, Kunal replied: "This is my question, too, because I too have read the announcement. Also, I have no knowledge. He (the makers of the film) made the announcement. Ki 'go. Go to Goa twice in the last three years (laughs). There are logical issues. I won't believe it until we start shooting for the film, because in the last two years I was excited about it. Hmm. Film on various levels and it is very close to my heart.

According to the makers, the sequel will be removed from the point where the original ended. All actors are expected to get their characters back again.

Filmmaker Dinesh Vijan said that the plot of "Go Goa Gone 2" will be centered around aliens, unlike its predecessor, which was a comedy about zombies.

Eros International and Maddock Films recently announced the sequel to the 2013 film, starring Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari and Pooja Gupta.
The film follows three men whose vacation in Goa becomes a zombie nightmare.
Saif played Boris, a Russian dacoit-zombie-hunter, Boris in the film directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.

"Roohi Afzana 'team is writing the sequel. The writer came up with the idea and I liked it and then we developed it. Eros said let's announce it and we did it. We just need to give every actor Is, that was there. In the first part, to bring something a little more new like the 2.0 version.
Dinesh told PTI, "There will not be a zombie element. We are doing it with aliens. The world will be similar in spirit, similar comic timing, stoner comedy, but a new journey."
Although the producers have not approached the cast for the sequel, they hope to get the entire team back.

"We have not yet approached the actors. The intention is to get everyone. They should be happy and like the role. There will be two new additions to the cast - a man and a woman. It will start by the end of the year., "Vijan said. The release date of the sequel is March 2021.
In addition to "Go Goa Gone 2", the producers are awaiting "Roohi Afzana", a follow-up to Vijan's 2018 horror comedy "Stree".
The filmmaker intends to make a third film in the series "Munja", which will be set in the same genre.

"When 'Stree' was ready, the script of 'Roohi Afzana' was being worked out. Now 'Roohi Afzana' will come and the script for 'Munjha' is being prepared and then there is another one. "Stree", featuring Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor and Pankaj Tripathi, was set in the small town of Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh, where an evil spirit named 'Stree' abducts men at night during the festival season . It was based on the urban legend of "Naal Ba" which went viral in Karnataka in the 1990s.

"Roohi Afzana", which will also feature Rajkumar alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma, tells the story of a ghost who kidnaps a bride on her honeymoon.
It will be released on 5 June this year. Talking about "Munjha", Vijan said, "It is like a legend, it is a mischievous ghost and he is looking for his bride. It is based on a true legend."
The producer said that he enjoyed finding a place of horror which is full of comedy.
He said, "In horror-comedy you are afraid but you also laugh. It's fun. The horror-comedy universe is the future of Maddock for me right now. Then I will create another universe." Vijan is currently awaiting the release of his next production "English Medium" with Irrfan Khan.
