Iron Man is the greatest of all heroes
in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - so why did his solo films stop at three?
In a recent Vanity Fair interview, screenwriters Christopher Markus and
Stephen McFly of Avengers: Endgame shed some light on why a quarter of the
Armored Avengers didn't get a single outing. Simply put, Scribe, related to
Marvel Studios Brass, felt that another setback focused on the adventures of
MCU's most popular character was a bit safer.
McFeely made the excellent point that - contrary
to the opinion of such publishers as Martin Scorsese - Marvel, Marvel has never
been particularly interested in doing what is expected of it. For proof, he
specifically pointed to his decision to take a chance on a property - James
Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy - instead continuing to crank the sequel to the
most popular Avengers.
Doesn’t matter you like all the24 films or not, the capital
that Marvel has built has allowed them to do things like make a film starring a
raccoon and a tree, right? You already have Iron Man 4 if it would have been any
other? Studio, ”McFly said. But as so they decided, 'No, we're going to take a
chance on these other things." Also watch The Batman Movie (2021).......
To further explain how Marvel's affinity has paid
off to take the risk, the scribes suggested that we should look no further than
the endgame - the highest-grossing film of all time, and one that certainly
made Iron Man and Captain America removed, MCU has the most identity. Players,
from its increasingly crowded board. McPhee
had said, "to put the flag in the
ground and say, 'We're going to finish something and take the characters off
the table. I think it's kind of an adventure, but selfish."
Marcus then stated with the last word that not
only did Iron Man 4 never happen nor will it ever happen, but why Tony Stark
had to meet at the conclusion of the endgame. the story needs an end or it
loses meaning," he said. " end is the thing that really sews it, sews
it together and brings it into a crescent, and yes, remove the people from the
board, eliminate your arcs. If Tony did it the other way Granted, and Iron Man
4 was waiting. "Would you like, [shakes head] a whole lot."
Is Iron Man 4 really a bad idea?
Still Iron Man from Disney / Marvel
It only serves to explain to what extent Marvel
has placed a finger on the pulse of its audience; It makes them well aware that
not only do they know what they want, but they do not know what they wanted.
It's true - defeating Stark only to pay the least price would have made his
action cheaper, and then bringing him back for Iron Man 4 would be the kind of
transparent cash grab that the studio has taken away from Has cleared the way.
Heck, it's not even that Marvel is opposing
four-quarters for the individual Avengers: Thor, after all, will be a fourth
solo flick with the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, but he's a character who's
in the smatch dub There is a huge, profound change in his priorities and the
way he sees the world (well, the universe, actually). The often-stupor,
sometimes inadvertently fun-loving God of Thunder, the clinically depressed,
rogue Guardian of the Galaxy (we believe) not to begin with the 2017 thor:
Earth-shattering events of Ragnarok and the Avengers Happened. Infinity War and
Endgame left them with a lot of unanswered questions about who they really are,
and there is also plenty of room for development.
Stark, on the other hand, underwent a complete and
reassuring character arc between the inaugural MCU effort Iron Man and Endgame.
"Genius billionaire playboy philanthropist" didn't start learning the
meaning of teamwork and sacrifice until 2012's The Avengers, and the events of
Iron Man 3 and Captain America: Civil War forced him to face his shortcomings
in a way that He had never done this before. If Infinity War finally turned her
into words with the possibility - heck, The Cold Reality - of Abel Fellier, the
endgame saw her realize that such a failure doesn't even grant a license - just
more - some things, like friends and family. Love is worth giving everything.
